Teacher Creativity Center and the Ministry of Education, concluded a review session within the framework of the socio-emotional learning program operated by the Teacher Creativity Center and funded by the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg in Gaza city-Roots Hotel .
The program aims to contribute to quality education outcomes –especially in terms of socio-emotional learning skills and a number of associated values, principles and practices including freedoms of thought & expression, social justice, Gender Equality, mutual respect, responsible decision-making and peaceful conflict-resolution- in the Area C of WB, East Jerusalem and Gaza Strip.
The 2 days session included 25 teachers from 18 governmental schools.The review aimed to review the topics of the previous TOT training which was on "How to restore the emotional social performance of students".
Mrs."Wafaa Al-Shatli," Head of the Teacher Creativity Center office in Gaza city , explained that this review aimed at preparing teachers mentally to implement the goals and activities of the project . Noting that the previous training aimed at promoting Teachers ’skills in multiple aspects including the identification of the challenges that students face on the emotional and social level, in addition to enhancing their skills to face the different problems . As well as how the teacher builds a supportive classroom environment.
The session also indicated the challenges of the environment within the classroom, and the teacher’s role in handling the situation through applying the skills they have learnt and be applied through the quality of education provided to the students , reflecting positively the academic and social levels .
