The Teacher Creativity Center and the British Sheffield Fund have awarded grants to three Palestinian students in the West Bank, from the town of Beita, the Dheisheh camp, and Al-Amari camp. The grants are given within the context of advocating the rights of girls and women to give them the opportunity to access a quality education.
Awarding the grants came during a meeting organized by the Teacher Creativity Center in the city of Ramallah, with the participation of representatives of the British Fund, in addition to the students benefiting from the scholarship, and their parents. Through this meeting, the conditions of the scholarship and the selection of female students were identified.
It is worth noting that this initiative started its work in Palestine, since 2007 in Gaza Strip. This fund is dedicated to supporting and advocating Palestinian girls and women in their right to access education in line with the sustainable development goals, especially the fourth one.
