Establishment of the Arab Network for Human Rights and Citizenship Education-ANHRE

Due to the need for a platform and coordinating body that includes organizations, assemblies and active individuals working in the field of education on human rights and citizenship in the Arab World, the Arab Network for Human Rights and Citizenship Education-ANHRE was established.

ANHRE is an independent regional network consisting presently of over 75 members belonging to different organizations in the fields of human rights and citizenship education in the Arab World.

The objective of this network is to enhance cooperation, exchange and sharing as well as dissemination of a culture of human rights and citizenship education in the Arab World according to scientific and educational methodologies at promoting and strengthening human rights and concepts of citizenships through making available relevant information, effective methodologies and capacity building for improvement of performance of members.

In order to accomplish the above and during the first meeting of this network, a seven member coordinating committee was formed democratically where the committee will work on the necessary documents and declarations for formalizing this network.

The executive director of the network and the 7 member coordinating committee formed is as follows:

Treasurer: Ms. Arwa Khader Elboraee (Egypt)
Secretary: Mr. Ghassan Elsaleh (Iraq)
Coordinator of committees: Ms. Sawsan Elrafaee (Yemen)
Coordinator assistant of committees: Ms. Afian Raheem Elshayekh Ali (Iraq)


The ANHRE network invites all active individuals working in the field of human rights and citizenship in the Arab World to join by filling a membership application and sending it to:
