CULTIVATING CIVIC SENSIBILITIES
An approach to cultivating civic sensibilities in Palestine
The purpose of this study was to gather information about current
theories on civic education and how the theories are applied around the world. The aim was also to examine the operation of civic education programs in Palestinian schools to gain an understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of the programs in order that appropriate tools, resources and strategies could be devised for the ongoing development and training of teachers to bridge any gaps identified in the programs.

whom were subjected to horrible violations and struggle

This manual was published within a project implemented by Teacher Creativity Center in cooperation with the Ministry of Education. The project aims at elevating the educational cadre's capabilities and competence in dealing with children under and after crises, in addition to eliminate and prevent the effects resulting from the current Israeli invasion, and to provide a safe school environment ,The manual was divided into three theoretical section Civic Education ,Violence,Crisis
The manual included activities and exercises that integrates civic education and counseling, with guidelines for teachers in order to use those exercises correctly in schools.Around 8,500 copies of the manual were distributed among all primary schools within the West Bank and Gaza Strip governorates
